Nomorobo now lists Cox as a carrier for their service. However, I subsequently signed up for Nomorobo only to find out that simultaneous ring is only available in a few select Cox markets. Any idea when simultaneous ring will be available in the Hampton Roads, VA market? Thanks.
Well, it's now July 3rd, 2018 and still no Nomorobo on Cox here in Hampton Roads. Meanwhile, the info on the Nomorobo website is misleading new potential Cox phone customers. Ironic, when one considers that Nomorobo came about, in part, because of spoofing. Go figure.
Yea, I think some people don't want to give up the old NIUs and it holding the whole system up. Stubborn people!
Sorry, you lost me. What is your question exactly?
Are you asking is it fact that CV won't work with a NIU? If so, I can dig up some posts on DSLReports. I am 99% sure of that one, but only based on what other people have said.
Or are you asking if a eMTA using CV will use the same carrier freq. as a eMTA using current CDT-PS? That's a good question and I don't know. I suspect there is some redundancy since the transition is designed to be transparent. No modem change needed, and I have heard it won't even need new firmware. However I haven't heard much talk on the technical differences, so that would make good conversation.
But just to clarify, we are talking about 3 kind of technology; Oldest circuit switch, old packet switch, and new packet switch (CV).
Again, I was asking if the reasons you cited related to delays in rollout were based on speculation or established facts.
It was speculation based on what I have heard employees say on DSLReports. If you want proof, go over there and ask. However don't get on my case like I am responsible for making sure everything I say is 100% true. I don't get paid. I am not a employee. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. That's the last I have to say on the matter.
In my best Sergeant Hulka impersonation, "Lighten up, Francis".
I am sorry. How many people have you helped here? Stick around and show your worth then maybe I will take the conversation seriously.
