Hello, Can someone please help me out. Im currently subscribed for Premier internet. Most of the time when I check my speed test, I only get 50-60 mbps. I dont knwo what's the issues. Is this coding issues? I do not think its my modem because I went out and bought a brand new one and tried it with CPU wired to the modem, still didnt work. It will hit 100s IF im lucky and that's once in a while. very inconsistency. I even tried to have them refresh the signal and check the signal to my modem, they said its a good signal but im still not getting the speed that i was suppose to get. please help.

With 100 ms pings that would be high for most speed test sites in the US if that is what you were testing. Are you connecting currently wired or wireless getting those results, and what site are you using to test it? ---

here is the thing, when I test using cox speed test under internet tool, my speed is constantly 117. when Im using this website, http://www.cox.com/residential/internet/speed-test.cox or any other speed test, I get half the speed. This with wired to the modem, no router.

@Twoods5 When I look from this end the signal levels being reported by the modem aren't very good at all. Are there any cable splitters installed you could try bypassing to see if there is any improvement?

Last I check, there are 2 splitters on the side of the house where the cable comes up from underground. I'll try to bypass them and report back.

Chris, The technician came out and bypassed the splitters, internet speed was awesome....all good And then he said he gonna go check on the main box to do some maintenance? I called and and I've been told 2 hours it will be back up. It's been 24 hours now and I still have no inter net and the next tech is Tuesday morning.. Not a happy camper ATM..

There is currently no splitters on the line. Im still only getting 63 mbps max. I've been told by the tech that it could be the line underground. Can you check the signal from your end please?

I took another look from this end and the modem appears fine however it's reporting nothing connected to the Ethernet port. Can you try testing again with a different device connected?

Right now I have my laptop connect straight from the modem. Im still getting only 50-60 mbps max.

I'm sorry my laptop went dead when I went to work. I just reboot my modem and now it's connected to the computer
