Is anyone else experiencing very slow upload speeds in Phoenix AZ? It started yesterday. The problem is intermittent. Yesterday, we had a Cox tech inspect the lines on the pole in our alley.
The connection improved. Today I am experiencing a very similar problem. I work at home and the software we use requires a faster upload speed.
I pay for 500/10 and have the updated panoramic model.
I called Cox again this morning the rep saw lots of packet loss and connection problems. My connection improved shortly thereafter. Another tech is on the way today. I have been working at home for over 2 years and have never reset my modem on a regular basis. Cox sent me an email earlier in the week about the planned outage in my region to increase bandwidth.I wonder if one of the reasons why Cox is now doing this service upgrade is due to similar problems experienced by many other local users.
Yes! I live near Northern & 12th Street. Ever since the power went out a couple weeks ago followed by Cox being out, my speed has been slow. Where are you located?
12th ST and Indian School
We have not experienced any recent power outages.
I hope the senior tech can fix this today. This is sad.
I upgraded my speed to Gigablast and now my upload speed is consistently higher.Looks like I'm back to the 300/30 ultimate plan LOL
I should not need to upgrade my service to a top tier speed to get over 2Mpbs upload. I also do not have more time to spend on fixing this connection. If 3 techs at my house (last week) cannot find the problem, it is likely a network issue. Looking forward to my planned network outage in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully this will fix the issue and I can go back to my 500/10 plan. I did receive a free upgrade to Gigablast for the remainder of this billing cycle however, this is insufficient to cover my losses experienced due to this poor service..
Gigablast is as slow as hell and I'm not taking it anymore LOL
270? I've been well under 400 Mpbs all day.
Have you emailed cox.help@cox.co as suggested above? I’m curious how helpful they are with this.
Yes, I worked with online tech support via email and completed a few tests and they say everything looks good. This does not resolve the problem or isolate the cause. My download speed is considerably slower than advertised, especially after day 2. Day 1 offered speeds above 900 Mpbs. After day 1, my download speed decreased substantially (typically less than 500 Mpbs.) Looking forward to my local system upgrade next week. Hopefully this resolves the issues.
