Internet I need a report of a my recent Tech service visit where the technician found that someone (I know the unit numbers) put a 4 way splitter on my connection. I would like to report them to our HOA. Any thoughts on how to avoid this in the future?

I am frustrated that my neighbors had put a 4 way splitter on my outside Cox connection. Has anyone else had this probem?

Someone at cox.help@cox.com might be able to help if you email them your account info and request. If nothing else they "may" be able to confirm the unit number who was wired up that way. It all depends if the tech. left notes on the account. They usually don't.

How would this work to tap onto a neighbor's Internet service? They must have cloned the MAC address of OP's modem. Wouldn't Cox detect 2 modems on the account?
