Today my internet was turning on and off randomly and The lady i spoke to today said it was due to a dmca back in June. I haven't a clue what she was talking about. i changed my password and am on a different pc from that time. I changed my wifi password in case someone hacked into my network
In looking up how to resolve it I went to Copyright | Cox Communications but it gives little info on how to resolve it. Im curious how exactly do you resolve it on your account as i see no button, scanner or anything like that.
I believe the question is what is the violating file? OP doesn't know what to remove or what to stop sharing. Cox is just punishing the OP without any reasoning for a violation.
Doesn't the DMCA include the offending file?
It kinda doesn't make sense. A violation in June and 5 months later, Cox starts flickering Internet service?
Now that I think about it, your right. However if the DMCA was for malware or something else that could temporary fixed, maybe they think it's related. Did OP get a DCMA email in June?
