Support Communication Text vs App

Apparently there's been an outage in my area. Don't like outages, of course, but a very unhelpful thing is the conflicting updates. The Cox app tells me there are intermittent outages and invites me to sign up for text updates. When I request an UPDATE by text the message is that "the outage has been cleared." Better communication between these two services would be appreciated.

      Thank you. I've messaged with support. Contrary to what the text notification update says, the outage is still ongoing and being addressed.
