Cox Gigablast download speeds are <300 Mbps

My Cox Gigablast download speeds are always below 300 Mbps. I am using Cox delivered modem/router. The technician checked the cable inside/outside the house and replaced the modem. But there is no improvement in download speed. Why Cox markets 940 Mbps download speeds but only below 300 Mbps?? Is it a marketing trick or cheating customers?

    That's your speed test. You need to post the modem signal levels as shown below. You can usually get these from 192.168.100.1 but every modem is different so if you need step-by-step you should ask someone who has that same type of modem.

    My Gigablast tests at 940/35 so it's clearly not a trick. Are you testing on wired or wireless? If it's wired you need to do more troubleshooting of your network and the cable network. If it's wireless you won't get 940 Mbps because there are too many variables with wireless. Cox never promises 940 Mbps wireless. Only 940 Mbps wired directly from the modem.

      I tested with wired and wireless. It should not drop below 300 if not 940 Mbps

        So you're getting 300 down and 35 up when testing wired to multiple different servers? Post your modem signals. Could be an issue on the downstream side.
