internet plan upgrade - forced gig or tv?

So, logged in to account, trying to upgrade internet plan, and only gigabit plans show. If adding cabletv (so now internet+tv) - surprise - all plans show. So, is it a new policy to force tv (or gig plan) on people? Not a very wise one.

It may be an attempt to oversell you.  You could call Cox to upgrade your data plan.

Will do, it's still not a nice move.

People can oversell too, but I think you know this.

So, update. Managed to get the upgrade without tv bundled in through chat, however, yay, surprises. After I explicitly said we don't want the ginormous panoramic wifi brick, you can guess what we just got in a box today. Well duh, a panoramic wifi brick. Useless junk, which we'll have to store now, since the only time we'll ever chat or call again will be to cancel the whole thing and then they'll want it back. And again, how nice it is that you can't simply order their otherwise available services on their web page unless you extra call or chat.
