Connected my netgear Cm1100 and nighthawk AC 1900 router cant connect to the internet. Have restarted several times and Cox said they show a connection. My laptop doesnt have an ethernet port so any suggestions?
should i try another router?
Have you tried a factory reset of the router? Also, can the laptop connect to 192.168.1.1?
Netgear has pulled a fast one on their customers. The CM1100 "shakes hands" with the faster Docsis 3.1 protocol. But the hardware in the cable modem is obviously Docsis 3.0. It cannot handle faster speeds.
