Daily signal degradations at night

It might sound weird, but since it started getting colder in Las Vegas, NV my internet quality has been dropping to where it is unreliable while gaming.  It is also getting bad enough to where it is causing issues with my Cable TV as well since I have both with Cox.  Besides my internet sometimes getting packet losses, my cable TV is tiling (artifacting) and the sound is sometimes dropping out then coming back as well.  My cable modem signal levels on certain channels are dropping to around 29.23 on the downstream SNR levels on certain bonded channels and I’m getting a lot of correctables as well as uncorrectables as well.  I will add that there are 2 splitters.  One on the outside that splits it so the cable can go to both of my rooms, and the 2nd in the main room which allows for 1 to be connected to my main contour box and the other to my cable modem.  I have tried removing 1 splitter, then the other, so that it would be just the modem, but my SNR levels remain the same.  I have posted the signal levels here.

Signal levels definitely or out of spec. When running your test are you hardwired to the modem or router? Also when you check the coax connection did you notice an amp?

I use a router, but modem is hardwired to the router and router is hardwired to PC.  I do not notice any amps on the line in any places, just a section on the outside where the grounding wire is, and the filter that is in place due to me having contour service as well.  I will not attempt to remove that since the filter is Cox’s.  In fact I think there is some sort of attenuator on the line because I did try to remove that when troubleshooting along with the splitters, but with that part removed, my SNR levels did not change, but my downstream power levels shot up out of this world to 19 point something which I know would be super DUPER out of spec, so I had to leave that on there.

Sounds like you cover all the basic and some we may need to schedule a technician out. Please email your full-service address and name to cox.help@cox.com so we can check the signal levels from our end and schedule a tech out if needed.

A tech came out a couple days ago, looked at my lines, re crimped them, added a filter to the line due to high DPL then took a rather extensive look at the “tap” (the thing that’s in the green box just behind where I live where the cable comes in from). Said there is a problem and put a ticket in.  Next day another tech came out (guessing it was a different person that called in a tech from a different house) and said the same thing, put a ticket in.  About an hour later, a large truck rolled up, then they worked on the thing in the green box (Repair or replace things in there) then afterwords, here are my signal levels now.  This is what they should be:)  no more tiling on my TV and no more slow internet and packet loss:)  thanks:)

This is exactly what they tech said they were going to do to mine.  I couldn't think of the word "tap".  of course I can't get anyone on the chat to understand that.  they keep resetting my modem and disconnecting me.  I've lost time from work waiting for a technician and I lose more time not having internet.  I have to use my hotspot by verizon just to get through the work day and for the kids to do  homework.  customer service is absolutely horrible.  Trying again to reach a human by phone but I spent over an hour again last night on chat only to be disconnected
