Only way to contact support in my area seems to be text based chat with sms. The app isn’t working and my internet is the worst it’s ever been since upgrading to gigablast. Is there some issues in Phoenix area I am not being informed about?
I don't use the app so I can't comment on that. I'm unable to contact Cox via live chat from their website though. The link to live support on the contact us Cox web page is the exact same link as call us. On the forums here to the right side, there is a "Need more help?" section which has "Get Help Via Live Chat" and that link doesn't open up a chat window. Not sure what's going on with the live chat but I'm unable to find an actual link that will open a live chat window with Cox. If someone has an valid link I would be interested in it.
Have you tried this link? I just tried it and it got me to a CSR.
I just tried the link and it doesn't get me to a CSR. Tried with both chrome and edge. If I use my cell phone (Verizon) I can login to cox.net and access chat.
Where does it stop working? Can you get the "Chat with us" window?
I isolated the issue to my OpenBSD firewall. I had a custom ad blocklist that my unbound DNS resolver was using to block ads. Essentially blocking ads without a web browser adblocker. There's something in the list though that was blocking the chat button from even showing. When I completely removed the blocklist from the picture the chat button now shows and I'm able to open the chat window. I didn't dig into the list to determine the exact entry that was causing the problem but at least I know it wasn't a Cox issue.
