Copy/Paste into a new compose email does not work

I can't copy and paste into a new email. If I choose the "Plain text" option I can paste, but as soon as I change back to HTML the text disappears. This has been going on now for 3 days. I have notified Tier 2 Cox support who confirmed with a test in various browsers that pasting is not working. This seems like an important feature. Anyone else having this problem?

    That's odd. How does it fail? Like do you get a error icon where the HTML field should be?

     I did notice that when I copy a link and paste the formatted text (not plain text) it paste a highlighted link, but it doesn't act as a hyperlink. Is that what your experiencing? If I use the HTML format to create a link, I can then copy and paste THAT link though. 

    Also, I assume you are using the new email platform? If you use webmail.cox.net to reach your webmail, then your users are still on the legacy platform. I want to make sure we are comparing apples to apples.
