I can't copy and paste into a new email. If I choose the "Plain text" option I can paste, but as soon as I change back to HTML the text disappears. This has been going on now for 3 days. I have notified Tier 2 Cox support who confirmed with a test in various browsers that pasting is not working. This seems like an important feature. Anyone else having this problem?
What browser are you using? Also, do you have any ad block or Script blocker enabled on the browser? If Chrome, try in a "Incognito" tab.
Have tried on Safari, Firefox and Chrome.......and Incognito. It's a bug, COX Tier 2 is aware of it but the 3rd party developer has to fix it.
Well I just tried it on my Chromebook and had no problems so..::shrug:: It can't be a all expanding bug. Someone else reported it, so I don't doubt it's a "thing, must just be isolated to some unknown criteria. Maybe it's a OSX thing with flash?
thx for your replies and help. Also nogo on wife's Windows browsers. I can flip back and forth between "plain text" (to paste) then back to HTML, but even then it fails about 1/2 the time.

That's odd. How does it fail? Like do you get a error icon where the HTML field should be?
I did notice that when I copy a link and paste the formatted text (not plain text) it paste a highlighted link, but it doesn't act as a hyperlink. Is that what your experiencing? If I use the HTML format to create a link, I can then copy and paste THAT link though.
Also, I assume you are using the new email platform? If you use webmail.cox.net to reach your webmail, then your users are still on the legacy platform. I want to make sure we are comparing apples to apples.
Been on new platform (/myemail.cox.net) for at leats 2 months with no problems. When I paste into the "HTML" option I get a blank text box. If I paste into "Plain Text" it pastes ok then I normally can switch back to HTML.
Yes, If I paste a URL into the Plain Text compose box, then change it to HTML it does become a highlighted link.
Ok! I was able to replicate the issue. Not sure why it started all of the sudden. Allow me to debug and I will have more data.
Great.....sorry its happening to you. Good luck on trying to find the culprit, we a rooting for you
Well first thing I notice is it doesn't seem to effect the TO or Subject line, so that's something. Hmmm..
Ok, I think I figured out a work around. It's the HTML editor and something to do with field sizes. First back to here;

Hold CTRL and then double click on the highlighted link and it should launch a new tab with the link. Does that work for you? Not that it's a good work around, just trying to see if you can replicate the action atleast.
