I keep a Cox email account open to monitor alerts via my iPhone X and iPad Pro2 but not in Outlook on my pcs.
Lately, I have been inclined to close that email account because for several weeks I am flooded with SPAM.
Is there a fix for this by Cox or a solution that I missed?
i still get the same 7-9 emails a day from spammers. I have gone under settings and done all the requirements but they still let them through. very annoying and whatever cox did recently has pissed allot of their customers off
otarakiwi, I greatly appreciate your comment. I even requested management to step in since nobody from Cox can offer a solution, but that was to no avail and a long time ago. Maybe one day someone will realize this is horrible customer service and do something about it. (Chase)
Perhaps we should start sending our requests for help with this crapy customer service
i.e. instead of the experts (I use that term lightly) from cox can't do there job, of telling us its our job to program filters. I use thunderbird mail program and even if I wanted to program filters it takes my TIME to do so, and it takes my TIME to have to delete them afterward.
come on cox you can stop outgoing as potential spam so get started in upgrading the incoming servers.
CoxSpamdetectSUX, Thanks for your suggestion. It has been rather hopeless to get a solution at this website. After months of hoping and even requesting a manager to help with this situation to no avail, I decided to email the president of Cox. I hope for an answer for all of us who are requesting assistance with this spam problem. I sent an email to Mr. Esser just prior to completing this entry. (Chase)
UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE--QUICK RESPONSE FROM COX:
08-21-18 Tuesday 3:33pm George (executive escalation specialist) phoned me from Cox and said that the president (Mr. Esser) referred my situation to him. George asked me to change my Cox spam settings from "Automatically deliver to Spam folder" to "Delete Spam messages without delivering to Inbox." He said if any other spam email arrives, to open and select it and to select "Mark as spam." I told George that I want to be sure that the president knows all of the information I have provided and that if this works, I will publicly let others know the solution. However, if this problem remains as others on this message board have indicated, that I will need further assistance. George was very polite and prompt in responding to my situation and he agreed to check the other messages on this message board. (Chase)
i wish i could forward all the same spam i get every morning to his email address. Each day i get emails about trump healthcare senior care, crepe and american express and wellsfargo and now different versions of iogirl as well as aDt. It is the same ones and i have set the emails to block if they have that in the header and i still get them. very annoying for a service i pay for - why can't they just undo what they did that caused it all to start
otarakiwi, I'm hoping since my phone call (that I mentioned above) that you and others will be provided a solution after upper management has read these posts to see what we have discussed these past months at this forum. Also, I will post back after seeing what occurs with my email account after making the change mentioned in my previous post. (Chase)
