Prime Video App on Contour 2 gives "Something went wrong"

Have a new Contour 2 box. Trying to play videos on the Prime Video app gives the "Something went wrong" message that I've seen so often on this forum. With so many reports on this problem there must be a definitive solution to this by now. But I cannot find it.  Any help?

  • First, you're trying to stream on a cable-box.  Cable-boxes have cheap parts, are often reissued and streaming was an afterthought.  If you want to stream like a champ, purchase a device engineered to stream.
