What connector is needed on your new contour 2 box for digital audio out connection. This goes to a Vizio sound bar. The connector used on the older box was a nipple type.

What connector is needed on your new contour 2 box for digital audio out connection.  This goes to a Vizio sound bar.  The connector used on the older box was a nipple type.

    The "nipple" type is a coaxial cable with an RCA connector.  The other type of digital audio is a fiber-optic cable with a TOSLINK connector.

    It's hard to tell by the images of Contour 2 boxes because the digital connectors have covers installed.  It appears to be a TOSLINK connector.
