Just upgraded to Contour 2, Cannot control my Sony sound bar.

I just upgraded to Contour 2. It gives the option to pair an audio receiver, but no other devices. I tried to pair my Sony sound bar as an audio receiver but it does not work, Cox support suggested calling Sony. Not an option. There doesn't seem to be any manual pairing procedures with the contour remote.

    Hi @TomCC

Please go to www.urcsupport.com/.../ , scroll down to Remote Control Set up and then click on Add New Audio. Put in your Brand and model number and that will give you the code. The directions for inputting the code are in the middle of the page. Hope this helps.

Hi Ben and thanks. My remote does not have a setup button, and the instructions have no procedure for using a code. The remote is supposed to automatically detect the device, which it did with the TV, identifying it as a Sony Bravia 4K. It does not identify the sound bar. It asks if I want to add my audio receiver. When I say yes, it seems to do a short search and then asks me to test the sound bar's volume control which of course does not work, as do none of the controls. I spoke to Cox tech support this morning and all they could suggest is that I contact Sony. The sound bar works fine with its own remote and it worked fine with my older cable box remote. Again, this remote has no setup button and the instructions have no procedures for manually adding a device.

My apologies for giving you the link for the wrong C2 Remote. Please use this link and try the same steps as I listed above:
