Throughput on gigabit service mysteriously slows to 7-9 Mbps every night at 8PM

Hello!

First time posting and have a genuine mystery that's also incredibly frustrating.

Every night at about 8PM MST my modem slows to a crawl, ~7.5 Mbps.

This is especially frustrating as I had zero service issues until I did two things at relatively the same time.

1. Upgraded my modem from my own docsis 3.0 modem to a newer docsis 3.1 modem given to me for free by Cox.

2. Upgraded my internet from 300Mbps to Gigabit service.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
