Sending e mails from i phone while outside US

Whenever I am outside of the US I am unable send e mails. Recently,  I contacted Cox tech support and it was escalated to the next level. They offered to "white list" me for 30 days so I can send e mails on my Cox account from outside the US. This really doesnt solve my problem. I want to be able to send e mails while outside the US without having to contact Cox tech support and beg to be "white listed" for 30 days. Why cant they just let customers send e mails from outside the US without restriction and without having to get approval before leaving the US. This is really outrageous. Does anyone have a solution? If I drop Cox and switch to Verizon will they allow it? I heard that g mail allows foreign sending without restriction. Maybe I should receive my e mails on Cox and respond on g mail. Thanks for your help.

    Hello

This is the procedure for sending emails outside the US. The travel notification is for your security and the security of the network. Please send me your service address, so that I can investigate the escalation. I am not very sure how other providers handle this situation. We do request that if you are planning a trip outside of the US and inform us of upcoming travel in the future, we can implement all the necessary actions so that when you are out of the country you will not have any issues with your emails.
