Routing change from 10:07 PM - 1:12 PM EST causing high ping, packet loss, and line jitter
Starting on January 23rd, 2018 at 10:07PM EST, my internet traffic began being rerouted from a Cox server less than 2 miles from my home in Gainesville, FL to a Cox server over 1100 miles away in Shoenchen, KS. Since then, everyday at 1:12 PM EST the routing switches back to the server in Gainesville, FL until 10:07PM EST that evening.
This routing change is causing significant issues with my internet connection including massive increases in ping time & latency, packet loss, and line jitter as high as 500ms. I have had 3 service calls to my residence to address this issue. Two of those service calls were from a locally contracted company and the last one was from a Cox technician. The contracted technicians from the first two service calls were unable to identify the cause of the issues and only left me with a new (more expensive per month) wireless gateway. The most recent service call from the Cox technician (who was very courteous and professional) was more productive and a ticket (ESR#000002604713) was opened.
Evidence that I have gathered using various tools has been added to the ticket and I have been told that Tier 2 technicians are investigating the issue. Unfortunately, it seems that no progress is being made on this problem and in the meantime I am left with an internet connection that is nearly unusable.
Here are two images that show the routing when running a traceroute on www.google.com (IPV4) during the two time-frames referenced. I would very much appreciate some attention on this issue and a timeframe for resolution.
