If you log into your Cox account at Cox.com, can you see both the Dad and Son’s modems?
There are reboots, resets and re-provisions. You have done multiple reboots by unplugging your Son’s modem, waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in. It merely reboots its configurations.
You do resets from your Cox account. It deletes the configuration and reloads it.
