No error message for Inactive Email Accounts

When an Email Account , there is no way to know if incoming emails are not being received since there is no error message sent to the sender. Likewise, when sending an email there is no error message when sending the email and the receiving email just does not receive the Email

  • @BobCo,

There is no notification unless there is a bounce back from the server that the target email address resides at. Essentially, you get the notification from the server that declines to accept the email. However, when an email fails to send, there is no server to bounce the email back thus resulting in no notification.

    Thanks,

No - that is what fooled me when this first happened... I was trying to receive emails and got no errors, and when I sent email , I got no errors. when I sent emails to these accounts from Gmail, I got no error messages as well.

Only after looking around did I find the Profile/User Account page and noticed some of my Email Accounts were set to Inactive.  I reactivated them and they worked for a couple of days. then they were set to Inactive again without any message to indicate it.

there should at least be a notification that an Inactive Account has been sent mail and trying to send mail.
