Modem stopped working.

My modem (nighthawk X6s model R7900P) stopped working today. I have tried to reset it and reconnect it many times. The ethernet line still works to my main pc but I can’t seem to get the WiFi to work anymore. The routers name of router is appearing  on the list of WiFi connections, but says there is no connection. I have used this router for quite awhile but it seemed to not be working anymore. I have checked connections made sure the WiFi was enabled. I plugged in my old router and it worked fine. Was there any changes to the service? I believe I have the, ARRIS:CM8200A/P2 DOCSIS 3.1 32X8 MODEM. Or is it possible my router may have just bugged out I am frustrated and confused. Thanks

  • Hi Steveoh. The one thing you can try is to reset the router back to factory defaults and see if that works. Otherwise, you will need a new router. - Lisa, Cox Support Forums Moderator
