Managing Inbox

When I want to delete several messages at once, I check each message and then click the trash can icon.  The messages delete, but then the webmail program automatically checks the next message (or jumps to a previously read message way down the list and checks it).  I'm tired of having to uncheck messages that I don't want trashed, and of accidentally trashing messages I want to keep.  Is there some way to get this automatic "checking" function to stop?

  • No vim, I don't think so. This new mail app requires some retraining. If deleting is your mind set, you have to pick one email you want to delete, that will uncheck everything else. THEN click in the check box anything else you want to delete and then click trash. That will put only the ones you want to trash in the can. You'll get the hang of it after a while.

But yes, since last July I've done a lot of fishing trash out of the can.

    or, dumpster diving,
