Inconsistent internet speeds (not getting what I pay for)

Hello, I currently pay for 50 mbps, but rarely receive speeds above 30mbps. What's even more bothersome is that my speeds will frequently drop to below 5 mbps.  This happens at least every day for short periods (an hour or so). What should I do?

    Are you hardwired directly to the modem or wireless? If wireless, please reboot the modem and hardwire a device directly to the modem if still getting the same results email your full address and name to cox.help@cox.com so we can take a look.
