I find odd that cox will not allow new email address to be made.  I have had my cox email address for many many years.  Yesterday I got hit with a "email cluster bomb" where my email was used and is still being used to sign up for a ton of news letters and other stuff.  8000 + emails so far and they are still coming in.  Yes I called support last night and all they could say was I pissed some one off.  Support was no help at all.  Emails are from all over the world and about half have asked for verification of the sign up but the others just say sign up was successful.  The only way out of this I can see is to change my email address and cox won't do that.  Humm did cox do this to me so I would give up my cox email ?   Huge Problem !!!!!!!

Randy, you have a bigger problem than you know.  Someone has made a purchase online using your email address.  They cover up the purchase by flooding you with 1,000 newsletters.  You have to go thru all of the emails to find the one that says "Your item is being shipped to....."  or "You can track your purchase online".   Do a Google search for this scam.  You are not alone.

@Randyibm, you mentioned previously "email delivery failure." Are you also having difficulty sending and receiving emails? If so, are you on webmail.cox.net when experiencing this issue or are you using a client email? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator

This is way beyond a Spam issue.  I am still getting emails and some say email delivery failure and this tells me emails are still being sent from my cox email server I have not sent.  Cox has a problem.
