High upstream and too many t3/t4 errors.

I've been having bad internet connectivity the last couple of months and I think it's because the upstream is way too high(or so I read).I have a Netgear cm1000 that i recently bought and installed a little over a month ago I've replaced the coax cable and the splitter inside the house and connected the modem directly to the coax coming into the house but there isn't a difference. I think a tech has to come out and see for themselves but trying through calling Cox seems like a waste since they just tell you to power cycle. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    So I called Cox and they sent a contractor that said the wiring and connection are good, he proceeded to put a DB Attenuator behind my modem. It's changed my downstream but now my upstream and connection seems to be worse.

    This field below allows you to modify the frequency the cable modem start with its scan during initialization and registration. Enter the new start frequency and restart the cable modem for it to take effect.
