I'm having the same issue, I log into the nest site and it tells me that a email has been sent to your cox email and you have 5 minutes to get the verification code,  but receive it hours later.

Same issue here.  Nest claims it is cox.net not delivering the email.

Call whomever is administering your email servers to ask if the queues are backed up.  Don't be shy about posting the results of your "investigation."

I have the same problem... spent hours with Nest support. They tell me their verify codes are sent right out... but if I get them they are 12 hours late ! Now I'm locked out of my security system and home thermostat...

Spent hours today on SAME issue.  NEST says this is a Cox issue and they cannot resolve it.  Sick of the blame game on both sides.  Why cant you two talk to each other and solve this?  As an IT Professional, I am flabbergasted that Cox and NEST are wasting our time like this.  Perhaps it time to give both companies the heave ho...  NEST is definitely throwing shade at Cox over this

  • Hi Statim, are you able to login to Cox Web Mail? If yes, can you confirm if the emails are there?

    Thank you,

Same exact problem. Can’t log on to Nest app, it says it sent authentication code to my @cox mail and code is only valid for 5 minutes. I get the code eventually hours later from account@nest.com but it’s way past the 5 minutes.

troubleshooted with 5 levels of support of Nest. We added @nest to cox whitelist. Created rule in cox webmail to allow Nest domain emails in inbox, no luck, Same problem.

Nest says this needs to be addressed by Cox, that their automated 2 form authentication is working fine and email generates right away and it’s sent, however cox is not allowing it in right away.

      can null help please???

      Thanks!

Am able to login; not receiving the Nest emakils with verification codes. As others have noted, Cox and Nest explain that the other is the source of the problem. Absent phone support, Cox is unable to speak with Nest. Sent email with source info to both tech supports- no response as yet.

Hi Statim. We have verified that the issue you are having with not receiving email or emails being delayed by Nest is an issue with Nest and Google and it is being worked on by them. If you need further assistance with this, please contact support.google.com/googlenest for support. - Lisa, Cox Support Forums Moderator

Latest Nest response: With the previous information, investigations on our end have determined that messages are being blocked by cox.net with a response of CDRBL which is explained on Cox's support site and will need to be resolved by Cox.

Appears that Cox is using cloudmark.
