Cox Email Problems

Anyone else having serious problems using Cox email today?  I am trying to send emails but when I go to start a new email it takes a minute until it loads and by that time the server time is out.  In fact, nothing seems to be working right using a Cox website for email!  Nothing has worked right since the last update!

Same problem here. Just sent myself two emails from my work email. Nothing. But...I just sent an email to myself from my Cox email and received it. Go figure. Hope they fix it ASAP.

My problems all seem to be delayed receipt of emails, usually by 1-2 hours.  I have sent myself test emails from my other email accounts, and those too have been delayed.  In the past, I have read that Cox wants to get out of the email business, and, given that they will not permit the creation of any new cox.net email addresses, there would seem to be some merit to that allegation.  Of course, maybe they simply want to have fewer paying customers....

Can't send and email. Earlier it said 'IMAP SERVER REFUSES TO INPUT ONE OR MORE EMAILS'

Yes, I too am having issues trying to send emails. I am having the issue both when using my laptop and my phone. The error message I get indicates some kind of server problem. This has been going on since 0700 this morning.

      Hello All,

We are aware of an email issue that is causing delays in receiving and delays in sending emails. Our email team is investigating the issue and diligently working toward a resolution. I am sorry for the impact that this has had. We will continue to work to get this resolved as soon as possible.

I have been experiencing delays of 1-2 hours in receipt of emails.  This is especially aggravating when I need to input a security code for a business, where the security code expires in 10-20 minutes.  By the time that the email containing that code arrives, the time has expired.  When will Cox fix this problem?  How does Cox Communication plan to compensate their customers for loss of service?

I've been having Cox email problems ever since they "upgraded" the system a couple months ago.  Now it's getting worse.  Sending an email takes forever.  Moving an email to a file takes forever.  Forwarding an email takes forever.  A person can't do business this way.  It'll be time to move to a gmail account soon.

I called Cox and have a ticket in thinking it was just me. Sounds like it's not just me. I thought I wasn't getting e mails at all but it seems like what is happening might be that's it's taking hours to get them. ...I do seem to be able to send e mail. Either way , this is a serious hardship. I don't want to go through the weekend not getting e mails or having to wait hours for them

Agreed, Cox should spend a bit more money and have the Email provider utilize current network fail-over technologies. In this day and age it is unacceptable....but Cox's response has always been, "Well you are getting the email capability for Free"....Well thats bull-**bleep** with the money we pay for the internet and Tv service.

It appears the mail server is having issues. I am noticing issues using my various mail clients on several computers. I normally give it a few hours before reporting it, because it MAY be that the servers are being worked on.

Hi there. What's your take on how long it usually takes Cox to fix something like this?

I would assume this is a system failure. A reputable company would advise its customers in advance of any maintenance.
