cannot record by time slot

I am new to Cox DVR Contour.  I am surprised I cannot record by time slot.  Cox will only record by show name.  Unfortunately that means it records the same show on multiple networks in the same day....

    I don't know if it still works but recording a selected channel at a specified date, start time and duration is what it did.  To get it to repeat would probably require a different, scheduled recording for each selected date.  That's as good as it gets for what you want to do.  Have you tried it?

    If you had a time machine, you could go back in time and get Cox TV (Contour 1) when it was still available to new customers.  It has a "Set Manual Recording" option that includes recurring record of a selected channel for the same weekday, start time and end time, regardless of the program being broadcast.  But that doesn't help you because you're new to Cox DVR and have Contour (Contour 2).

This is not the answer.  What I want to do is, e.g.,  record PBS Channel 10 EVERY Sunday at 9pm... regardless of what the show is called.
