0.01 Upload Speed for the past two months.

I've been having massive issues with my internet service going on about two months now, just to get started from the top I pay for the 'Gigablast' service like i'm sure so many of you do as well. We are currently getting around 600mbps download and 0.01 or lower, almost daily. I've run multiple tests on different websites and different devices and they all come out the same, very low. I only have two devices running on the internet at once, max. My cell phone and my PC, which is hard wired in. There's absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to get off work, come home and play a game with my friends without having to get off ten minutes in, because my internet can't handle it. I've reset my modem more times than I can count, I've gotten TWO different panoramic modems installed, nothing. Two techs always came out to my house, my upload speed seemed to immediately jump up to the offered "35-40mbps" not even 45 minutes after the techs leave, my internet is back to being slower than dial up. I don't know what to do at this point and it seems filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau may be the only thing that will help me at this point.

  • I'm having the same issue. Download speeds seem to be fine, but uploads dropping to less than 1 mbps with frequent timeouts. Connecting directly to the modem makes zero difference, I'm dropping packets to the first hop on cox end. Up until recently I would get a consistent 30mbps up. Nothing has changed on my end. Single coax from the drop outside to the modem, no splitters or patch cables. My office is closed, so having reliable internet is critical.

    Hi Kidtrust,

I know that slow upload speeds can be the pits. Are there any splitters or amplifiers that are connected to the coaxial that is screwed into the back of your modem? If so can you bypass the splitter/amplifier and plug it directly into the wall from the modem?
