Working on fixing the mess you made out of email

Thank you SO much for dumping us into this "improved" interface. It's going to take me several days to untangle this and get everything moved over to POP3/SMTP to Outlook, since you made your web interface unusable.

Unfortunately, there is a problem that I apparently cannot fix so easily - I have two secondary email users, with separate profiles, with their actual names in the profiles - and this idiot application sends EVERYTHING from their accounts under the PRIMARY account holder's name.

NOT acceptable. Fix needed ASAP.

Maybe at the same time, you can stop trying to bring up your INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT page (www.int.dev.cox.com) when a user signs out. THAT really tells me (a web developer for fifteen+ years) that you have some truly incompetent people working for you.

I agree, the new web interface is simply atrocious and pathetically slow. Yeah you guys should take the ball on this instead of trying to pass the buck onto customers.

  • Hi Annoyed,

Do you mean that emails sent by your secondary users appear to be from the primary user? Or are you referring to linked accounts?

I'd like to know WHAT & WHY I just sent an important email to a hospital & it shows ME that it was sent from "NA NA", and NOT MyEmailName@cox.net? What the literal *** is going on here???

We can look into this issue for you. How are you accessing you emails? Are you using our webmail service or a third party utility such as Outlook?

    Thanks,

I am having the exact same problem of having emails label me as sent by "NA NA" when I copy myself (I'm not sure what it has for the receiver) ever since the email rolled over to the new interface version. I've been with Cox for YEARS! I really don't like this new version at all. I am a virtual email cox user and access it by Cox webmail. Please help get rid of the NA NA. Thanks

hello, as my post indicated, I am not using a 3rd party - I go on the cox website and use the cox webmail. It only happened after you rolled me over to the new version.
  • L J B and Snoopy Mutt, if you click on the settings button at the top right inside of webmail and then click on 'My Profile', does it have your name filled out in the first/last name box or does have something else (or possibly nothing) there?

Two ways i found to fix it.  when you "compose" an email, there is a drop down beside your email address that allows you to edit names, or if you go to your settings and profile, you can change your name.  my profile said first name:NA and last name NA.  if you change that it will show correctly.  we mustve gotten deleted in this stupid upgrade, but anyway, that fixed it for me.
