Any wireless router will work with Cox, it depends on your speed tier and what kind of devices you will be connecting to the wifi.

-Which internet package do you have?

-Do you already have your own cable modem?

-Are any of your wireless devices capable of connecting at 5ghz, or only 2.4ghz?

-How much are you willing to spend on the router?

I personally use a Netgear Nighthawk AC-1900 router and I love it. My connection has been rock-solid for over 2 years now.
