Wifi modem

I have a netgear range max wireless router wpn824v3, my wifi signal has been dropping. More than likely I need to upgrade the router. Will a links's AC3200 tri band router be compatible with the "preferred internet service"? And will this fix the signal from dropping?

    Hi Smdct,

    Have you ruled out the modem as a source of the problem? If you haven't already done so, it would be worthwhile to run a test without the router in the picture. Connect a device directly to the modem with an ethernet cable, reset the modem, and spend some time doing whatever you normally do online. Do you still experience the disconnects?
