Wifi keeps going out...

I have the Arris TG2472 modem with Cox ultimate and my 2.4GHz wifi keeps going out intermittently. It really becomes a PITA when we watch Netflix. I've reset the modem via the reset button, and disconnecting method but to no avail. The wifi light on the modem continues to blink.

My service was installed on 5/11/17, and the tech said that my home was receiving an excellent signal. 

Any ideas?

    My desktop is hard wired to the modem as well as my fax machine. Both work without any problems. The wifi signal strength to my tv is excellent as well. 

    When I connect to wifi on my phone, I get the same problem even when I'm sitting next to the modem/router.
