Why are emails sent from Apple to my Cox address being blocked?

Starting Friday night my messages feature stopped working on my iPad.  After lengthy diagnostics with Apple I have come to find my email address can not be verified by Apple.  I've used the same email for 12 yrs.  one of Apples senior technical support advisors attempted to email me while we spoke.  The email was immediately returned to him as blocked.  I have not blocked them or anyone for that matter.  The Cox support staff has been anything but supportive, telling me to wait 48 hrs before contacting them again.

Did you happen to get the text of the block message Apple support received when they tried to email you? That may help us better understand what the problem may be.

I did, I sent it in twice, I shared it in a chat with a support tech, and was basically told he didn't have a clue.

Looks like someone at Cox thinks Apple & Twitter are spamming them.  The description of error CXBL is "The sending IP address has been blocked by Cox due to exhibiting spam-like behavior".  These symptoms are very similar to those discussed in this thread.  Who knows what other emails Cox is blocking without notifying their customer.

Exactly Allen, and they are blocking anything I am sent with an apple.com address.  And on top of that, even after I supplied them with what I posted here, they denied it.

That's what I was needing to see, thanks. This is something that Apple support should be able to address further. I suggest opening a ticket with them and providing this information. Once their mail team check everything out on their end they can use the form provided in that link to request de-listing.

Apple knows about the problem.  I have been trying to get a verification code from Apple for 2 days.  Apple should sue Cox for restraint of trade.  That would get their attention.

Cox blames Apple, Apple blames Cox, neither one will do anything to resolve the problem and the customer gets screwed!

Coincidence?  Suddenly I am receiving a lot of my regular email marked as SPAM.  Just a hunch, but I believe Cox has gone down a path of trying to censor what we see.  Could this be a political alignment?  Who knows.  What I do know is that it all started just over a week ago.
