What could cause high latency and slow downs/time outs at a certain time of day?

I got Cox internet service a little over a month ago and things have been great.  The speeds have been amazing and the connection was reliable.  About a week ago, we starting having problems at around the same time of day every day.  

At around 7PM web sites start timing out, if you do a speed test, the latency gets into the 800ms when it's usually under 20ms.  Around 10PM, things get back to normal.  Any ideas on what might cause this?

    Hello Alowisney,

    That seems odd, that it happens the same time every day. Are you doing anything specific when you notice the connection speed being slower than normal?
