What channels do I get with a Cox mini box?

I have Contour TV with 250+ channels in our living room.  I want to hook up cable in my bedroom and in the kids room.  I have read online with the mini box you only get a few channels.  Am I not able to get all the same channels in the rooms with the mini box?

If not, what is the best way to get all channels in those rooms with out paying 20 dollars more a month?

    Avant,

    The mini box is not an Advanced TV receiver and only tunes TV Starter or TV Essential. If you are subscribed to Advanced TV or higher and would like to view the same channels on all TV's, each television would need an Advanced TV receiver connected to it. With Contour you also have the ability to view DVR recordings on each additional TV where you choose to connect an additional Contour DVR or Contour receiver.

    So basically, I have to pay 40 bucks a month more to get TV in the other rooms?

    DirectTV is looking better everyday. 

    Do you have a link or number I can call to cancel my service?

    do you actually have a dvr or just a regular digital box?  just a basic digital box is not $20 a month

    I have a HD DVR currently.

    I need two rooms hooked up that I would like to have the channels that I pay for.  Not 1/4th of the channels I pay for unless I fork over 20 dollars per box more.

    Hi AVANT, there is a one time self activation fee $20.00, but you can install more than one box and only pay the activation fee once. Also, each box has its own monthly recurring charge depending on the type of receiver you install.     Are the rooms already cable ready (pre-wired)?

    All rooms are already wired.

    So on top of paying monthly, i have to pay 20 dollars and install it myself and pick it up? 

    What is the number to cancel my service?

    in order for you to view the dvr content in other rooms you need a cox whole room dvr service
