Welcome to the Internet Forum!
Dear Ken, "It is not everything, I fear, which has changed for the best" ( apologies to Peter Sellors). Principal reason is that in this house we are sticking to Windows XP which has an excellent E-mail client called Outlook Express which lights up in a second but has no facility for looking at Spam. Later versions do not have an E-Mail client so you have to go for Thunderbird etc. Now Cox has come up with their own client which in my opinion ** for the following reasons. Firstly it is not resident on one's computer and the entire application has to be downloaded every time you just want to check your mail. Even on dual core machine this is a mind numbing delay, that's unless you waste electricity by leaving it powered on all the time. Next problem is that once you have a Cox account but still read your mail on Outlook, the slate is not cleared at Cox and pretty soon you have a vast collection of mail that has to be erased, Again a very slow business to transfer from Spam to Trash and finally delete. Need I go on? Anyway thanks so much for taking the trouble to post it on Dropbox. I will get to it right away. Cheers Gilbert.
