There is not a way through the site to turn off ads on the Cox.com site, however if you login to the Enhanced view instead of Classic for Webmail they will not display while you are logged into  your email account.

Just out of curiosity, why did Cox decide to put ads in classic but not enhanced? Actually, why did Cox put ads up at all in webmail? Only paying customer can see a web-mail inbox, why double dip?

The Classic view for Webmail is integrated into the Cox.net main site which is what is displaying the ads, Webmail itself does not have ads associated to it. Enhanced completely separated from them.

Enhanced view? I dont know anything about that I guess I could try that then. To be honest, for what we pay a month it should automatically be in what ever view is required for paying customers to 100% ad free.

Interested in finding out how to perform basic features in Cox Enhanced WebMail? The following articles can assist you in performing a variety of tasks. Before you begin make sure you are signed in to Enhanced WebMail:

    1. Go to webmail.cox.net.
    2. Sign in using your Cox User ID and Password.
    3. Enter User ID and Password.
    4. Click the Enhanced WebMail radio button.
    5. Click the Sign In button.

The problem is I get to step four and dont see a enchance webmail radio button, where exactly is it?

From the Webmail site you will see the Classic view and Enhanced view options below the password field, directly above sign in. You do have to be on http://webmail.cox.net and not the main Cox site to see the options.
