WEB Mail via COX connection no longer works, tried multiple days.

I have an Outlook Office 365 email via my Google Web Account.  My OWA via EDGE is not accessible from my Google Web Account or directly through Outlook 365, only keeps running in a redirecting and/or standing at the “Opening your mailbox…” stage.  After over an hour with Google on the phone/remote access they were unable to resolve the issue.  They said it must be an issue with my COX High Seed Internet connection.  I have the same issue with my OWA email regardless of the workstation or  a laptop connected to my COX network.  I can take my laptop to a non-cox connection and OWA works fine.  Tried using the Microsoft Recovery Assistant for Office 365 tool and it does not fix anything.   Other web sites, msn.com, Google, msn email, etc. works fine. Any suggestions

    Hi JDBTCOX,

You may try bypassing your wireless router and connect your laptop directly to the modem.  The router may have some configuration setting that could be causing the issue.  Let us know if you're able to try that and please share your findings.

Thank you, Mary, for the response.  I have a combination modem/router leased from COX, Ubee model number DVW326.  My higher-end desktop workstation is directly connected via Ethernet cable.  Desktop speed is 100+ mps and the CPU, Memory, and Disk space percentages vary between single digit to low thirties.  History, Cookies and Cached data is cleared daily.  My laptop connects via wireless.

You could try doing a factory reset on the Ubee gateway to see if something in the router configuration is causing issues. That can be done by pushing and holding the reset button for 30 seconds then releasing.

Thanks Chris.  I tried this multiple times throughout the day, both by pushing the Reset button for 30 seconds or by unplugging the modem/router from power.  Neither my msn email via https://outlook.live.com/owa/  load, this just sits at the “Opening your mailbox…”  or my Google account email via  https://outlook.office365.com/owa/ this just sits at the grey screen with the url at top.

I have to admit I don't think I understand the problem as it's described. I see you mentioned an Office 365 email via your Google account which I have to say isn't making sense to me.

    Hello Chris,

Sorry, it looks like I mistakenly used the term Google instead of GoDaddy.   I have a GoDaddy Business WEB Site and with it is an associated Email account.  The GoDaddy Email uses Office 365 Email.  When I launch the GoDaddy Email it uses https://outlook.office365.com/owa/.   When I use my MSN Email it uses https://outlook.live.com/owa/.   My GoDaddy account email just sits at the grey screen with the url at top, or eventually will go to the Email listing but unable to show the Email’s content.   My MSN Email just sits at the “Opening your mailbox…”.

As mentioned in the initial posting, it looks like owa cannot get through my COX connection.  I have talked to GoDaddy on the phone/remote access and they were unable to resolve the issue and said the issue might be through my COX connection.  I have the same issue with Desktop directly connected via Ethernet cable and with my laptop connected wireless.  I can take my laptop to a non-COX connection and it works fine.

Unfortunately I lack the means to try and duplicate the issue. I do have an old hotmail account which I tested via the Outlook site and I was able to get into that without issue.

“Old Hotmail”, as in non-owa?  Did you test from an outside network, as in not your COX Support network?  Would replacing my current leased COX combination modem/router possibly make a difference?

    Thanks again

I can't say for sure if changing the modem would help. All Hotmail is OWA now so it should be comparable and I am testing from a Cox Internet connection.
