weather channel

Day 4 and still unable to get locals on the eights. According to the Weather Channel this its your problem. Will this be corrected soon?

    What happens when you try? Message? Black screen? Temp off air? Also, is this different then Weatherscan? If not, that channel was removed a month or so ago.

    Of course it is different, the original poster said "Weather Channel."  I don't have a problem in my area, but yes, when the local stuff is missing from the Weather Channel, it is usually a local cable provider problem as they don't have the location enabled in their system correctly.

    Weatherscan was a channel created by the Weather Channel that showed "uninterrupted local weather information in graphical format on a continuous loop". I had never heard of  "on the eights" before so I asked the question. 

    What are the symptoms of not having the location correct? If it's anything like this thread, it took a couple weeks to correct.
