voice feature on my remote control isn't working

when we press the voice button on the remote it says "Press and hold to try again" every time we hit the button. 

we are holding the button down like we are suppose to.  it worked this morning. now it seems jammed or unable to register 

our actions

    Hi, it's possible your battery may be low.  I'd suggest you check the status of your battery life via Setting>About;  and  if necessary install new batteries.  If the button's getting stuck or jammed, you may need a new remote.
