dude my modem was without power all day yesterday and all night between 17 - 18 November
because we want to avoid too pay extra money by going over the 1024 GB
and even we don't use internet at all according to the usage data we have consumed 49GB 17 November
and now today 18 November 31GB when the modem was not even connected to the power line this is a fraud

I'm sure "tech support" telescammers will confirm that this is because your computer is sending out viruses.  Yeah, that must be it.

well finally I persuaded my wife to cancel cox internet service
and we already have a new ISP who doesn't have a usage data cap
2015 we cancel cox TV Cable service
2017 we cancel cox internet service
    because cox **...!!!!!!!!

only cox can manage to accredited to their costumers
usage data even when their costumers have no electricity connected to their modem
well in our case all this ** is going to end 24 November 2017

  • Sorry to hear that we may not be able to maintain our relationship due to these cap concerns.  We still wanted to take a second and apologize for the chain of events that led up to you making that decision.  It will be our hopes that one day you will reconsider and allow us another opportunity to provide you services.

there a typical example of cox employee troll who have zero respect for the cox's  customers
I do feel sorry for you I really do
because for me the best satisfaction is when my  customers are happy
obviously you don't care to have that kind of relationship with the customers of the company you're working for
and is understandable since you're just a little insignificant employee
so wait for your paycheck and shut *** up

    "Cap concerns"???

This seems pretty cut and dried to me and the fact that you glossed over the core issue using such an insulting euphemism is pretty significant.  This is like referring to having your gasoline siphoned as fuel mileage concerns.

Are you not the least bit concerned that your esteemed usage meter is presumably measuring data usage for a modem that is for all intents and purposes, unplugged?  The fact that Cox is utilizing something that seems so demonstrably faulty to determine up charges based on data supposedly used certainly meets a higher standard than mere "cap concerns"... and should be noted by every paying Cox customer.

I'm a high usage cox customer and in the past I would get an email from time to time about exceeding the limits prior to caps being put in place. I would monitor the usage and throttle my firewall to keep usage down over the last 3 years I had not exceeded the cap. First month with the new caps in place I get an email yesterday saying I exceeded and they are charging me. I'm configuring my firewall to actually account how much data in and out we will see if it matches what they are saying I'm using but agree there is something funny going on here because I haven't exceeded in 3 years 1TB.

    like legal problem
