Upload throttled to Twitch.tv servers

When I try to stream using the Twitch service I cannot get anywhere near my upload speeds. I have 10Mbps up and am trying to stream at 2500kbps.. shouldn't be a problem. I have it dropping to as low as 400-800kbps consistently.   A google search shows many have this problem. Uploads to other servers don't have a problem.

    If the problem only appears when using Twitch that would suggest that the Internet connection is probably OK. It may be worth reaching out to Twitch's support to see if they have any suggestions to try.
