upload consistency of service

I'm attempting to qualify for a work from home position and the speed test requires and download and upload Consistency of Service of 70% or higher.  My speed is more than enough, my download COS is 88% but my upload COS is 66%.  What can be changed or tweeked to raise this to above 70%??

As how DOCSIS Internet is a shared media there's simply no way to guarantee a minimum level of service due to factors outside of anybody's control which is why we advertise it as an "up to" speed.  Using a wired gigabit Ethernet connection however eliminates any of the challenges that come with wireless.  If you are needing a guaranteed level of service it may be worth speaking with our business services group to see what offerings may be available at your given location.

Are you testing QoS or COS? COS tags won't work on Cox network. What results do you get when you test here? Or try pingtest.net but you have to use Internet Explorer and have updated java. In general, the way DOCSIS and ICMP work, you won't get a very accurate CoS result. It's like trying to juggle on a swing set.

I'm not sure how a speedtest will help resolve a Consistency of Service issue.  This has nothing to do with speed it has to do with CONSISTENCY... right now my upload spikes up and down all over the place and isn't consistent at least 70% of the time.  Based on research regarding the same kind of issue most times I've seen the COS way above 70%  See the graph below for a "visual"

    Download speed   7545 Kbps
    Upload speed   7057 Kbps
    D/load COS   88 %
    U/load COS   67 %
    Min RTT   72 ms
    Max RTT   79 ms
    Avg RTT   75 ms
    RTT Consistency   91 %
    Max Delay   71 ms
    Avg Delay   6 ms
    Effective Speed   10698 Kbps
    Route Speed   7282 Kbps
    Forced Idle   31 %
    Route Conc   1.5

    Upload test   s

It was a link to a speed test that also measures latency. Are you seeing any problems with latency spikes? Packet loss? My Upload COS is 29% and I have no problems with VOIP, video streaming or gaming.
