unstable wifi connection

My wifi is quite unstable for a long time. I met no connection several times a day and I got a low speed even when only one device was connected to wifi. I tried to sit next to the wifi to avoid the obstacle between modem and the computer but did not work. also tried to unplug the modem and reset. The modem is DSA301U.

    My suggestion would be to first start with the basics. If you plug a computer directly into the modem then reset the modem does that connection work as it should?
