Uncorrectables

Ever since Cox upgraded to 32d channels, I have been having an issue with uncorrectables.  I never had any until this upgrade was complete.  I've had two cox techs (Contractors) come out and do nothing but scratch their heads and not knowing what to do...  This is very frustrating as I have the 300/30 package and at times it feels more like 10/10...  There is a new cable running from the street to the junction on the side of the house and a new line run by Cox from the junction to the modem in my wire closet.  No TV service, only internet, so no splitters or anything.   I have the SB6190 running the 9.1.93N Version of the firmware. I had the D version that is standard, but had a cox tech push the newest for me to test that as a possible solution.  I reboot my modem daily and almost immediately the packets start pilling up. Modem is about 5 months old. Any ideas?

    @Mike Harris

    From this end all looks well with the modem and the reported signal levels. Are you seeing any performance issues?

  • I don't have an answer for you but I am having a very similar problem only with an 8x4 ARRIS SB6141...the only thing I see which might be interesting is that I am having a large spike in uncorrectables in the same frequency range.  in my case its 909 to 927Mhz  in yours its 903 to 927 Mhz    could be a coincidence or maybe something else is up.   Cox's recommendation was to replace modem.

    I have same issue, same modem but its all my downstream channels. Have you done anything since you posted. I have a tech coming out tomorrow.

    From this end everything is looking good up to the modem itself. If you're still having any problems let us know.

    Mike,

    Do you know when Cox upgraded to 32d channels?  I'm having frequent loss of service that started recently but haven't dived into details yet.
