Ultimate Internet speed slow

Paying for 300mbps. Use to chill around 250-280 but now:

Took these tests one after the other. I'm on a wired connection.

Modem is an Arris Surfboard SB6183.

Router is a DIR-868L (Wan -> Lan throughput is 924 mbps according to smallnetbuilder)

There are my downstream channels if it helps.

I have used the modem reset tool on cox. I have power cycled both modem and router. This has happened once before and a cox technician told me they had my account set to the wrong "code". The code for 150mbps instead of 300.

If that is the case again I'd appreciate if it were fixed.

Thank you

*edit*

Ran another test. Something is definitely wrong.

From this end all appears well with the modem. Can you try testing with a gigabit capable Ethernet connected directly to the modem and see what results you get?

Just got off work and ran a test

Tried it again bypassing the router and got similar results.

So I guess it's fixed? Maybe they were working on the lines yesterday.

Anywho, if the speed slows down i'll post again.

Do you know what would cause the slow downs?

    (also I use cat5e cables)

You may wish to look into using CAT6 cabling. My SB6183 had problems with CAT5e cables and would not establish gigabit phy link until I switched out the cable.
