TV show rewind

I have a Contour 2 box without DVR. However, when I turn on a TV show, there is a timeline on the bottom of the screen for a few seconds.  What is that timeline for? Should I be able to rewind a TV show back to the beginning of the timeline?

    From your description, it sounds as if you're referring to the temporary bar that displays the remaining program time. Only DVR receivers can rewind programming that has been viewed while on the channel for several minutes.
