TV Screen goes black

My TV has started going black for a couple seconds every so often. It does it on most channels. I don't know whether its the TV, or the cable box, or my cable connection with Cox. All my cables are tight. Any suggestions?

    When the TV screen goes black are there any changes in the cable box?

    That type of behavior is often caused by HDMI issues or an incompatible HDMI cable.
